Significant changes made
The COY movement continues to grow. Be part of the next generation of climate leaders amplifying youth voices on the world stage.
One of the most significant changes and achievements observed during COY19 was the activation of experienced event organizers who hail from disaster-stricken areas, particularly highlighting their resilience and expertise.
These remarkable individuals were pivotal in pulling COY19 together. Their resilience transformed potential challenges into a streamlined event execution, ensuring that every participant was engaged and every voice was heard.
Participation & representation
The COY19 experience was positive and moving. Given the multi-faceted nature of perspectives present during the course of the event, it was easy to cultivate discussions on the pressing climate challenges.
The workshops were most useful, as they offered tools and techniques for tackling climate change at the local and international fronts.
I noticed the effort that was put into encouraging youth to take part and I liked how the organizers reached out to the younger generation in these discussions.
Overall activities are very well organized to give participants opportunities as youth to engage more in UNFCCC agenda.
